Das Cali Kartell aus Narcos bedroht illegale Downloader

Noch vor einigen Jahren fühlte sich Netflix sehr sicher, was Internetpiraterie anging, doch seitdem Netflix viele Serien exklusiv für die Plattform rausbringen, hat sich das schnell geändert. Zum Beispiel hat die Firma eine „Global Copyright Protection Group“, um illegalen Downloads zu Leibe zu rücken. So hat jetzt Netflix in Frankreich eine Kampagne gestartet, die sich gegen all diejenigen richtet, die sich die neuste Staffel Narcos illegal aus dem Netz gezogen haben. Und da wird den Downloadern unverhohlen mit „Patronen“ gedroht.

“Hey you, yes you, do you think you’re smart? Do you think we didn’t see you Googling ‘Narcos season 3 download’? Don’t be a fool. Narcos is a business,” Pepe begins.

“If you want your entertainment. If you want your show. You’re gonna pay the Cali Cartel, ‘hijo de puta’,” Pacho adds, using the strong language one expects from a cartel leader.

“There’s bullets for you, your family, and all the people you send to watch Narcos on all those shitty websites full of questionable pop-ups,”

sagt Gilberto und sein Bruder fügt noch hinzu.

“You know where to find us. Don’t mess around hijo de puta”

Was meint ihr? Ist das nur ein PR Stunt, aber ich frage mich echt, ob das jemanden wirklich dazu bekehrt, sich die Serie nicht kostenlos zu holen. Einerseits finde ich es recht amüsant und eine Serie wie Narcos bietet sich natürlich hervorragend an, um so einen PR Gag zu starten, andererseits droht man sehr offensichtlich den Downloadern. Ein schmaler Pfad? Was ist eure Meinung dazu?
